42-year old Paul Brian Usery was killed on Wednesday July 29, 2015 when he was struck by an automobile driven by 39-year old Angels B. Fussell of Toney. Fussell’s car was a 2012 Kia. The accident occurred around 10 p.m. on Highway 251 in between Highway 31 and I-65. Usery was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident is currently under investigation by Alabama State Troopers. Items that need clarification through investigation are suspected driving under the influence, distracted driving, and reckless driving. In other words, what caused the Fussell vehicle to leave the highway and strike the bicyclist?
