Judy Lingerfelt, 65, of DeKalb County was killed in an automobile accident involving a log truck on the outskirts of Rainsville early Wednesday evening.

According to an Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, other’s involved in the wreck were 75 year old Sherman McAdams from Bowden Georgia and 19 year old Adam Jackson of Ft Payne. Both were unhurt.

Alabama State Troopers are investigating the wreck, that took place on Highway 35 at around 6pm.

Eyewitnesses commented on various websites:
Tina Perry wrote: ” I was right behind this wreck coming up the mountain. It was truly horrific. Praying for the families.”

Christina Perry: “The SUV collided with the log truck. It had just gotten dark and the truck had no lights on the back. I don’t think the lady could even see the log truck until she was right on it. I was right behind the third vehicle that was in this wreck. It was a horrific thing to witness.”
