65-year old Percy Mayes, and the passenger in his vehicle, 56-year old Terry C. Robinson, both of Courtland were killed when their car left the road, sideswiped a tree and rolled over. According to Alabama State Troopers, the accident occurred on Alabama 33, three miles north of Moulton.

Both men were pronounced dead at the scene. The accident involving Mayes’ 2003 Lincoln Aviator, happened at around 6:00 am. The accident is currently under investigation.

Whenever a person dies of unnatural causes such as being a passenger in an automobile accident where the car’s occupants are killed, it is logical to suspect that negligence was involved. Irregardless of the circumstances of the accident or what may have led to the accident, the passenger in a vehicle may have a case for a wrongful death against the driver of the vehicle and the vehicle’s insurance company.
