Clenon Junior Shedd , a local Baptist minister at Lystra Baptist Church, was pronounced dead at the scene of an automobile accident Monday March 16, 2015 near Cullman. Shedd was driving a 2012 Toyota Avalon that crashed into a 2007 Ford F-150 on County Road 1435, two miles north of Cullman. Shedd’s wife,, a passenger in his car was taken to Huntsville Hospital and is listed in stable condition. Alabama State Troopers said the couple was wearing their seat belts.

The driver of the other vehicle was takes to Cullman Regional Medical Center. His condition is unknown at this time. There was no further information forthcoming about the wreck and an investigation is proceeding. The accident happened at approximately 8:00 a.m..
