Ann Marie Brown, 45, a passenger on the 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by William Robert Brown, 48, of Castleberry, was killed as a result of a collision with an 18-wheel tractor trailer. The accident happened around 9:00 p.m. on I65 17 miles southwest of Evergreen. Brown was taken to a local hospital within unknown injuries. The accident is under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.

In a similar, yet unrelated accident, Terri Lynn Walker, 56 of Dothan, was pronounced dead at the scene after her 1990 Harley Davidson Motorcycle on which she was a passenger ran off the road and into a tree around 8:15 p.m. on South Rocky Creek Road, one mile north of Cottonwood. The motorcycle’s driver, 56-year-old Nathan Oliver Raley, Jr. was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated. The accident is under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
